pants dry, rest wet. holy canneloni!!!
making a stupid face 'cause can't stop grinning:
and getting some roasted knee on the clutch cover...
stop by a tree on the way home:
today, in the blue ridge mountains
have 180 miles on it now, and must tell you, it's hard, hot and loud. but also precise, powerful (rev'd it above 8k once by fault, i am curious what's gonna happen above that !!!!!)
handlig with 140 pounds of wife in the back is still enough to pass guys in t-shirts on R1s ...
the grip and the feedback is phenomenal. i love the hard seat, the wife probably needs bicycle undershorts ;-) (she's got a lot of road feedback, too)
going above the speed limit is okay to ride, just cruising is a kinda pain. downhill behind slow cars with passenger kills you! (me) so go over that double yellow.
passed a minivan and what came around the corner? a cop! he raised his arm out of the window and pointed towards the sky... i didn't know what that meant. stopped at the next possibility and waited for 5 mins. he didnt come back so we went on...
there is still this dent in the power delivery around 4.5k rpm, though i disconnected the exhaust flapper valve... it is getting annoying...
and after the one brake (last picture), it wouldnt wanna start??? tried it 5 times, ran on for 2-5 turns, then stalled. decided to roll it on down the hill (2nd gear) - easy. but - didnt like it.
the tires are the ....! grip, leaning, precision, direction changes. - and that for a 200 rear tire! i will post some short vidz later on.
I am very happy to be a part of this crew here with this awesome bike. can't wait for my first trackday!
best,
phil
