So I got my TuneBoy "Control and Cruise kit" with strain gauge quick up/down shifter, and nudge buttons for the cruise control.

So I only use my 2011 Macbook Air which Tuneboy does not recommend. So I decided to my gf's OLD Acer "netbook" which does not have a cd rom drive to load their cds. SO, I went to their website to download the tune software but could not find anything for the 1199 Pani. Just tunes for "M900" and "SS". Is it possible to get the correct tune off their website or should I go buy a USB CD drive to accommodate their cd install???

2nd major issue is when I plug in the tuner hardware device, the WIndows 7 does not recognize it. So how will it work if it doesn't see it. I tried downloading their "drivers" off their website but no luck on managing to get the laptop to see the device.

Also dumb question, but where is the ECU on this beast?

I emailed Emma at Tuneboy but it can days for her to respond. Any help would be much appreciated :)

TIA

1)TuneBoy - Engine Management Systems
OR,

2)ECU is on the RH side of the airbox/frame, hidden behind the RH upper side panel.

You need to install the drivers prior to plugging it in. PM me your email, I have all of the files and tunes on a flash drive. I can zip them and email.

Hi Sergio,

Here is the link to the latest version of the software, Emma sent this one through to me this morning:

http://www.tuneboy.com.au/SetupDucatiMitsubishi_V4.php This link is to V4.01, which was only updated today.

When you install the software, it will put a Tuneboy Tunes folder on your desktop. The tunes are located in that folder along with some trim files.

Some further info that I received today below as well:

The Panigale maps that end with Stick1 are for standard exhaust.
Maps that end with Stick2 are for slip on.
Maps that end with Stick3 are for the full system.
Maps ending with Akrapovic are for the full Akrapovic exhaust.

Regarding your install, did you follow the step below from the documentation?

Once the TuneBoy software is installed you should run the LogWorks3Setup.exe
from the root of the CD. This will install the drivers for the WB-01 device if you
need to connect this to the PC using a USB cable.

The installation location for this file should be something like:

C:\Program Files (x86)\FlashMitsubishi\LogWorksInstall

Hope this helps

As far as what type of computer to use, I have zero problem running it on my MacBook Pro with a windows 7 emulator (Fusion). This works well for me. I had the same issue with drivers and had to manually find the driver software to install.

So I looked up Fusion and it seems to be working. Had a hell of a time getting it going but I'm in the migration phase now. So hopefully I'll be good to plug into my ECU this afternoon!!!

Thanks but those links are to the tutorials. I still can't find the tune for the Panigale there. Plus how do I get my netbook to recognize the Tuneboy device?!?

The first link take you to that page and then you supposed to click on the link to show the downloads.

Second link is direct link to the software, try clicking on it to DL the software.

Well holy hell, the windows emulator crapped out halfway through the migration. So I decided to abort that and try and fix my gf's Windows 7 netbook. Finally got the drivers to work and actually got it plugged into my ecu cable under passenger seat. Ran the control and cruise map and terms slip on w/no dB killers trim file. Just cuz I have Phil's open cans. See how she reacts. Still a little lost on how the quickshifter and cruise control nudge buttons get worked I? Also, the "tune edit" table starts fine when I fire her up and I can read the rpm but then it freezes. So not sure what's up with that. Am I missing something? And I get an error message when I click on ducati trim file. Don't know if I even need that one. Any more tips?
