I was in the Ducati factory today

Oh and by the way 1199PanigaleS - I see you have a Shelby Mustang. I got an all black (stripe delete) Shelby GT500 about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. I didn't think there would be anyone else in the country with that combo (Ducati and Shelby) let alone on the other side of the world! They just don't seem to fit the same demographic to me.

Thanks! I ordered from Reno's. I read somewhere else you were 2nd in line for the base.. Steve C. told me I am first in line for the base model. I gave them my deposit sometime in December. What part of KC?

Have you heard anything new about our bikes? I have'nt contacted him in a while...

'11 GT500, silver with SVTPP and Electronics package here. No stripe delete, had to rock the red stripes.

I am in Independence. I called them about 3 weeks ago and they didn't have a clue when they would be getting them.

I usually keep two bikes but just sold my S1000RR yesterday in anticipation of the 1199 delivery. Now I only have a 11 ZX10R

I have owned two Ducs in the past and am looking forward to another!

Sweet! Mine is a 2012 with SVTPP and Recaros, no Electronics Pkg. I just recently switched out the wheels and tires for a set of Alcoa Super Snakes.

Although I'm not too happy right now seeing as how they decided to bore it out to a 5.8, put on a TVS blower and bump it to 15 lbs of boost for the 2013

Your logic makes sense - you said you saw a few base models sprinkled in amongst mostly S models. From what I have gathered on the forums most people have ordered S models with the base being the minority. So hopefully they are building the pre-orders first with dealer stock coming afterward.

No, I didn't hear that from personel. But I heard from Ducati guide that orders are big. People thar ordered in feb will get their bike maybe in June or so. Hope he is not right. Mine is ordered in November.

So there are more people with good taste. Ha ha. My Shelby is tuned with the 2.9 and Innovators West overdrive pulley. I have more then 700 rwhp now. More then I can handle.

Your bike was not ordered in Nov, mid January 12th was the soonest any bike was actually orbered. Dealers been taking deposits for a year but, that's it.

Also, I'm a Cobra guy myself, ive had 2 SVTs but could you guys inbox each other with the snake talk? No disrespect

I think it was January 10th, that's when I got my confirmation email from Ducati that my bike had been reserved.

Ordered mine on 11 30 2011, got my confirmation message 01 11 2012 at 15:28:22 Eastern.
Last saturday was the bike show in Montreal and I was told by the regional rep that for a base model I'd have to wait "well into May", or so he said.

Hope he's wrong......

As promised some photo's. Ducati Museum, the respect for Simoncelli in Coriano and the big example of my son, Horacio Pagani. After me of course.

We went to Florence a couple of days to see this beautiful city. We also went to the Ducati factory in Bologna to see my new 1199 Panigale S. Rick and I went to Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. Pagani is Rick's favourite and after the tour Rick was signing the guest book. Mr Pagani himself took some time for him and tapped on his shoulder. You had to see the shock on his face. He was so proud. Beautiful moment. He got two signed posters and we bought a Pagani book that he signed too. Rick wants to be a car designer.

We lit a candle for Sic in Coriano. They are busy making a monument for him, hence the walls behind it.
