Can anyone tell me how to adjust the Idle on my 2012 1199? Currenty idle's at 2000 RPM I feel it needs do drop a bit but cant find how. Thanks in advance.

Idle is controlled by the ECU. There is no manual adjustment.

First guess would be that you should have the TPS and the throttle body reset by the dealer.

How many miles are on your bike? Was there anything that preceded the jump in idle speed (service, air filter, etc.)? Does it always idle high or only at certain times?

So to answer your question the bike has 7K miles. The bike is new to me, Runs fine but Idles high, like 1950 rpm's. So if this is set by the ECU then whomever did the last tune had to set it there? Seems unlikely someone would set it that high. Is there something else that could be causing this? You guys holding back? Throw it out there, I can handle it. Thanks Frank

Sorry I didn't answer all questions:
Not sure of when the idle became this way, Previous owner knew NOTHING about the bike other than how to start and ride it. Luckily he didn't own it for long at all. The idle is very consistent. Always 1950 rpm.

This happened to me when my battery died and I replaced it, except it idled at like 4k RPM for almost 10 seconds at a time when coming to a stop. I figured the bike works like a car in that the ECU has to recalibrate a/f ratios when reset so riding a few miles and restarting the bike did the trick.
