Your review is spot on for my feelings of the kit. I would not want any more relaxed.

Went I redid my seat with gel I didnt increase the seat height any. I wish I did.

Attack rearsets are the last thing for me.

How did you find the install?

Mechanic installed my rearsets and clip-on kit. He didn’t mention anything about the rearsets, but said that the clip-on kit was quite a lot of work. So I would guess rearset was much easier.

Gilles Variobar is also an alternative as well. I did them on my 1199 back in 2013. I remember drilling the holes for the pins that locate the switchgear particularly the throttle side. You have to be exact. I got one of the first kits from Gilles and the instructions were bad. It took a very long time to fit them. The Gilles also use a small spacer to make the fairing just a touch wider. This allows the clearance of the fluid tanks. It does not cause the gap though in the windscreen. No one has ever noticed my bars are higher unless I point it out. I assume that Gilles will make them for the V4 as well. Just another option.

I just finished installing the ABM sport clip ons. They provide complete adjustability for height of bars, angle up/down and back/forth. Bars can be adjusted to be in factory position or how I have them currently, approx 3" higher and about 2" further back towards rider.
Installation requires removal of triple clamp and all of the bar controls as well as replacing the clutch and brake lines with longer lines (supplied). Installation is a fair bit of work. One of the issues I found was that the bars have smaller end holes than the factory bars. This is probably done to increase the strength of the bars, but results in not being able to use factory bar-end accessories. Therefore, I had the bar ends machined the same as the factory bars, so I could still use the lever protectors that I had previously.
Enjoy the pics!

Hello ArcticWhite,
I noticed from the pictures that you removed the factory handle bar tube.
Can you please help by letting me know the Thread Diameter and the Length of the bolt that hold the handlebar tube to the clamp?
This large bolt at the end of the handlebar tube near the fork that I point with my finger:

EDIT: I found the bolt diameter is M16, so if you can help by measuring the length of the bolt (under the head/not including the head), it would be really helpful.
