Hi everybody,
I have the akrapovic slip on and the mapkey containing the map of my previous one motorcycle (959 Panigale).
I will buy soon the new Panigale V2 and I wiould like to install the akrapovic exhaust of my previous bike.
From my analyzes the two exhausts, although has different code, are physically identical.
Therefore, it is certain that I can mount them in the new V2 without problems.
The problem lies instead in the map, since it would seem that it will not be sold separately as a spare part from Dcucati.
According to the Ducati dealer, I should sell the exhausts and the relative map and buy new ones ... which seems a bit absurd to me (given the cost) because it would be buying the same exhaust the different map.
Is it possible that there is no solution to upload the new map? Any experience or knowledge to investigate this issue?

Map is bike specific so won't suit your new bike and I would assume (I haven't looked into it) you will need to have a look at the new bike for fitment of your old exhaust to new. Bottom fairing, header shape and such may be a little different.

I am facing the exact same issue. I have a fully prepped 959 that I will be transfer ing as much as possible onto the V2. The exhaust is the same and shroud fit no problem (I think). the map situation is something different, even tho I dont like the idea of using the 3rd party AFR box // eco situation I think that is what I will do. BUT, that is because I will only be running MR12 gas and that requires a custom map anyway....

can't wait to see how this bikes turns out, last one looked pretty darn sexy

Untill theres a few of these bikes out on the street there not going to be many answers. I mean it is still got the v2 then things like Rapidbike should still work.

yo can buy the headers akrapovic ducati performance with race key map and mount it with your slip-ons. Easy.;)

I have heard that the 1299 slipons will fit the V2 but don't know if that is true.
