Installing Akrapovic Slip-on, Remove Servo or no?

Anyone knows if the Akra slip-on for the 1199 is also compatible to the 1299?
Ducati now lists the akra slip on on their homepage explicitly for the 1299.

To me, the only difference seems the included Up-Map stick and the little Ducati logo on the cans.

However, thats no justification to charge 400 Euros more than the slip-on for the 1199, which you are able to buy freely at any akrapovic listed dealer.

The 1299 Ducati Akrapovic slip on can only be ordered via the ducati dealer.

Now, i wouldnt care for the up-map stick or the nifty ducati logo if i can save 400,-, BUT...the question is if the 1199 akra slip-on fits on the 1299 at all or if there are any differences for it not to fit.

Any clues?

I think in contrast to the full Akra system (which is mechanically identical between 1199 and DP-version for 1299), the Akra slip-ons for 1199/899 will probably not fit to the 1299, because of a difference in the mounting between short Y-piece and flapper valve tube: at the 1199/899 it's 3-bolt type and on the 1299 it's a clamp-type fixing. The cans are the same (except logo), but the Y-piece is different.

Maybe the short Akra Y-piece which is compatible to the 1299 OEM exhaust will be available as spare part via Ducati, but for sure for big money only.

So maybe it is a better deal to buy a full Akra system for 1199 at any retailer and put it on the 1299 instead of the expensive DP Akra cans....

I removed it completely because I didn't want the ugly hunking thing hanging on the exhaust that I paid to have Jet Hot coated.

Does it flow better? Maybe. It would make things harder to revert to stock if thats a concern. This is of course, if you're talking about removing the physical flapper valve, not just the servo.

The servo is just dead weight if you have it unplugged and still hanging around. Its surprisingly heavy for what it is.

Finally got the Akra slips installed on the weekend. Just unplugged the servo cable and left dead weight on the bike, in case I need to revert back to stock.

The Akras are a really work of art, the welding and polish is second to none. The exhaust note is definitely deeper, most noticeable around that 4-7k rpm range, it rolls on like thunder. It's not louder than stock as the OEM can were already obnoxiously loud. I didn't realize until my bike's sound just blanketed my friend's cruiser. Oh .... that mid range gain is insane, I find myself very comfortably riding a gear higher than I normally do, power on demand everywhere, it's smoother, more predictable.

Never experience a slip-on making that much a difference to the bike, this is absolutely awesome.

My termignoni evo slip on instructed the removal of of the flapper and servo. The kit came with a plug block off.

I also have the rapidbike race module which works great. No need for the flapper and servo imo.

Hey!

All these gains with an Upmap done or just swapping the OEM unit with the slip ons?
I've got a pre owned Akrapovic Slip on recently and the whole process of getting the Akra UpMap is through official dealership only, I guess good way to ensure people buy new.
2 Things here-
1. Did you Flash the Upmap ?
2. Incase you didn't flash the Upmap, there was no error code right?
3. Incase you did flash it, what would be the best way to accommodate the slip ons through an alternative system?
