One of my lock-down projects is to install a lanyard style kill switch. I want this to comply with rules for some 1/2 mile "Airstrip Attack" events, if going over 180 mph :>
I have the plug, which you essentially wire inline to the Right Hand Switch and when you fall off, it pulls the plug and opens that circuit, killing the engine. I had hoped I'd understand the wiring diagram better, but sadly, I don't.
I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experience installing one of these on a V4. Attached are the wiring diagram and a photo. The diagram and photo both show 6 wires, but the colors seem to mismatch.
DIAGRAM:
Pink
White
White-blue
Red-black

vs.
ACTUAL:
Pink

White-blue
Blue
red
Orange
Even if the colors were one-to-one, I'm unsure which one would be appropriate to splice into. My first thought was the pink Engine Stop wire, but then maybe one of the two Front Stop switch wires (3)?
Do the circles with a single line passing through mean Normally Closed? Does the circle with the cross mean Normally Open?
Any guidance is appreciated! I won't initiate this surgery unless I'm 100% sure, and will probably also seek advice from the shop, or have them do it. But this seems like it should be easy to figure out.....
