I fitted mine ok,it was tricky to follow the instructions but not that bad and mine had the small self tapping screws missing that hold the carbon top cover (i just found some to fit)

Did you get instructions with yours?

I just installed me too. No instructions but I was able to figure it out..surprisingly! Missing two screws too. I didn't remove the tail section though like it appears you did.

OK, I received the DP Tail Tidy and it was also missing the instructions. Therefore, you can download the Tail Tidy instructions from here : http://store.proitalia.com/downloads/instructions/96901112A-install-instructions.pdf

Trust this helps

Nice one Cali. Just opened it up and shocked to see it takes 13 pages of instructions to fit the tail tidy!!!!! Then realized it was written in every language in the known world!!!! :D
How is an official Ducati part consistently missing components?? Maybe they need a recall on their tail tidy??

I couldn't find this DP tidy tail kit anywhere, is it discontinued? Does it come with blinkers? I bought my bike used and I don't have the blinkers.

You'll like some of the others out there better, anyway. I'd recommend the Competition Werkes or New Rage Cycles units that completely eliminate the dangling bits under the tail in favor of an integrated signal arrangement. They look better and are easier to install.

I have the competition werks one under the seat. I love the clean look. Reason I'm getting one of these is because of inspection, since I didn't buy the bike from my local dealer, they won't pass me.

My ideal setup is have the integrated signals but that won't pass either.

Mine was missing 2x screws which I got from Home Depot. The screws that also held the CF cover to the metal plate were missing. A total of 6 screws. The others were I think

Didn't enjoy the exercise a bit. but looks much better than the stock piece IMO.

If you're putting it on just to pass inspection and intend to remove it when you're finished, might I suggest getting an OEM one off ebay for next to nothing and using it for the 13 minutes it'll be on the bike?

Hi, Link doesn't work for me, does anyone still have a link or a copy of the fitting instructions for DP tail tidy, much appreciated if anyone can help

I had fitted the DP tail tidy, and it was a mess. I wound up drilling and tapping the aluminum inserts in the carbon piece to M4.
Then I had to bend and align the skeleton frame to get everything to line up sweet.
I ran it for a week before switching to the NRC eliminator kit. A much cleaner install and look overall in my opinion. There is even a license plate light :)

I have the DP tail kit. And must say it was a pain in the A$$. No missing hardware. But I did need to work with it a good bit for it to fit correctly. Once I had it on it looked great and has been easy to take on and off for track days.

Edit: I found some old photos from last year when I installed my DP tail kit.

Same here...DP kit was complete but no instructions...had to download the PDF.

But it is of disappointing quality - the fit of the parts to themselves was very poor so I had to dremel it in a few places to get the parts to fit. Plus there is only a little cosmetic carbon fiber - it's mostly aluminum or suchlike. And the license plate points at the sky and the light points straight back. And you have to pull parts from the stock tail to complete it too. It's all a bit "Heath Robinson" for such a premium bike / brand.

After all that I felt it only mildly improved the tail. I was distinctly underwhelmed with it, especially for the money.
