Friday night here in UK, dark night, 18.50hrs, just back from ossy (UK for Hospital), bout 6deg C
Straight to the conclusion - get your eyes tested regular like
Now got a prognosis of deteriorating sight in right eye which means a limited time of driving .. detached retina with gel deterioration to the point of detaching floaters (NO! you at the back, stop sniggering,, not THOSE floaters!!)
Spent the day in opthalmic dept at hospital then emerg testing - big thanks to NHS for sorting within 6 hours from seeing doc to end results.. although not what i wanted
Not feeling sorry at all so f off with the self loathing sympathy ....... just thankful for all the years - bout 43 to date - riding ducatis (and other lesser respectable brands,,exception being me dads BSA)..

Any idea what caused it? I had a bad spot develop on my left eye last year. Tons of testing including micro MRI resolution revealed nothing bad in my brain (Except it was oversized and very wrinkled), but an Ophthalmic specialist found a tiny deviation in my left optic nerve bundle where it mates to the Retina. It was caused by pressure from a nearby blood vessel, but no idea how that occurred. Best guess was a micro-stroke in the nerve, possibly a piece of plaque breaking lose and lodging in the blood vessel and causing it to swell. Took away the lower left corner of my vision (turned into a 'shadow' area) for about 2 months, but then went away. Further tests and ultra sounds revealed no plaque in my arteries so. . shrug??? May never happen again.

Hope you make a full recovery, mate. There are all sorts of procedures and doctors love to tinker with things like this to get them fixed. Your eyesight is your window into the world. May yours become clear and focused again.
