It's the little things... details, details.

The non adjsutable rearsets was a bit surprising but given that the stock pegs suck anyways I am just as happy replacing the whole setup with something more fitting for the bike as a whole. But I agree, bike shoudl ahve adjustability stock.

Some clear vinyl sheet on the fairing behind the shift and brake lever will protect the fairing.

Shame about the paint bubbles. I've waxed mine twice now and the paint on mine is flawless.

Anyone who has owned a Honda 250 or 450 4 stroke MX bike (CRF450R or CRF250R) is very famliar with the oil filter setup as the Honda has the exact same setup for their oil filters. Certainly not as simple as the more common external oil filters. IT just requires patience.

My KTM and BMW have the exact same style, the covers just aren't 3" deep. It's not a big complaint, but it makes me a little nervous working it off. NBD though, I really like cartidge style filters.

I really like the new kickstand. How it springs down and up without any effort or guessing if it is down or up. That's one of my fav "lil things".

It's silly but have a look behind the side stand, love the way they engineered the return spring. Seems like every day I notice some cool little detail that I hadn't seen before.

I gotta say I love the unique sound of the starter, everyone is less than thrilled by its "hesitation" but I love it!!!

Thus this thread. It seems that so many of the topics are about what is wrong with the bike so why not have at least one that points out some of it's nicer qualities?

Not so much about detail but I remember reading or hearing something about a good way to use the riding modes to test suspension (can be applied to other settings as well) changes.

Set Sport and Race mode exactly the same.

Then, make a change (suggest one at a time!), but apply it to ONE of the maps.

Do a couple of laps, then quick switch to the other map to give an uninterrupted back to back comparison.

When you've decided on the best settings, switch BOTH to the setting you prefer. Then make another change to ONE of them, test again back to back.

Rinse and repeat.

A much quicker turn around on changes and testing the affect of them.

If you lay on the ground and look all the way up above the upper radiator there are two spring loaded trap doors that open and close air flow when you turn the front fork. So if you turn left, the left trap door opens and the right trap door closes to keep wind at a minimum. That it was cool when I saw it.

First thing I noticed when the dealer had one to look at were the different lines on the fairings and tail section. Like the small points that come out on each side of the tail near the lights.

Ok, here is one. The stock plate holder makes a PERFECT hanger for your jacket when parked.

I actually like how well the wiring/hoses are done. Used to be with Italian bikes that it was a weak spot but it's got better with every new model.

I particularly like the use of hard lines here and there, such as leading upto the headstock. Also I like the little plastic covers/protectors running above the clutch cover.
