I've got the V-twin grin!

My first Ducati, my first post, been wanting one since they came out, well, really been lusting after one since the 916 came out, anyway, after checking out the floor stock at my local dealer for the last few weeks, trying to get my head around the price I found out for this month Ducati was picking up the on road costs for the Tri only till the end of the month... You only live once right, Yup, ordered it and three days later the crate arrived, told them not to open it unless I was there. It was awesome opening it up, I felt like the luckiest kid at christmas time with the biggest present, they sure are great looking bikes, can't wipe the smile off my face and it isn't anywhere near run in yet, its an event just riding it around slowly, something I never felt on my 05 Fireblade which I traded, now with no regrets at all.... My bike has 1-13 compliance, and was supplied with a larger exhaust heat shield, which is ok, and plastic rear cylinder covers, now installed I don't like the look of them and think I might ditch them at the first service, if its hotter so be it, but they look like a heat trap to me, the Termi's go on at the first service too, another event! Bike was supplied with a battery trickle charger that plugs into a socket just above the gearshift linkage, dealer said they've only recently started supplying them, not sure if this is the case, oh, and he also said the side stand switch was revised, said it looked different....Now just need some good weather to run my new buddy in! Have fun on your bikes everyone, I don't think it gets better than this!
