...on my way to work after a weekend in the mountains with the wife (plus backpack), tank bag full of beer and Jaegermeister ...
here: the wife got motion sick on the dragon, it was not the jaeger's fault
and 3 track days so far, the last one just 1 month ago.
1 roundtrip to indy last year (1160 miles).
and weekend rides up in the smokies every once in a while:
what a versatile bike! i still LOOOOOOVVVVE it! still on the first chain kit (gets "profi dry lube" every 200 miles, 3rd set of tires, 4th oil change, getting a new air filter next week (overdue).
everything works fine, lost some screws, had 2 hard starting issues, before i pulled the canister, the signal switch is starting to give up now and will be replaced soon under warranty.
i am pretty happy choosing the base over the S now, the suspension works great in all situations for me, might go on a set of lighter wheels maybe one day... don't ride too much at night, so the lighter lights are a plus.
haven't "needed" the ABS in a close call situation yet, but tested it several times intentionally (do a full stop every once in a while to keep in shape) and i can tell you can rely on it.
would i but it again? yes.
would i recommend it to anyone? for sure.
just wanted to get this out of my head.
have a good one!
