Hey guys!
Just popped in here to say hi, and introduce myself real quick...

My name is Macke and I run a small private racing team in the Swedish PRO Superbike Championships. I have been racing for just over ten years now, and we have been running a CBR1000RR in the championship for the last five seasons. We really excited to be making the switch to a Panigale för 2014...

We just picked the new bike up a couple of days ago, and have started to get to know this beast in the workshop picking it apart. So far I can say that it's a HUGE difference working on the panigale compared to the Honda that we are used to. HUGE... :D

The bike is based on a Panigale S, and was first built by a finnish rider, and ran inte the finnish Superbike Champs for one season before it made is way over here to sweden. At the moment we are just trying to figure out what work has been done to it, how everything works, and what we can improve on it. We haven't got any data to work with from the previous rider, and all the settings are pretty much deleted. So just getting a good base setup and perfecting the dyno results will be out first goal. We will also be running on Bridgestone V02 slicks, which makes it a challange when comparing settings with almost every other Panigale out there who seems to be running on Pirellis.

We have some sessions still left in the datalogger to look at, but it's not much. So it's gonna be a real challange getting up to speed on this one.

We are really leaving our comfort zone here, switching from a bike that we know extremely well, and can pick apart with out eyes closed. A bike that we allready have the perfect settings for on all the tracks we race on, and we know excactly how to work with. So this is going to be a real challange. But a fun one!

I'm sure I will be having A LOT of (stupid) questions for you guys in the near future, so... well... I'm sorry for, in advance... :D

Oh, and I would off course post a picture of the bike here. But well... It's kind of just an engine on the stands at the moment... But hey.. Those who wait... right?

Posting some of me on the old bike, from last year...

Cheers

Macke

And a short message to all the Swedes in here:

Tjena!

Hi and welcome Macke!

Congrats to the bike! I did my first days on the track with my Panigale last week with Greven at the Almeria track. A great bike, especally compared to previous Ducati models.

Vi ses säkert på banan nånstans!
