I am wondering if anyone who has lower back pain used a kidney belt to ride a panigale and if this really improved the comfort? It's not so bad for me anymore, but I can feel the weight on my back and arms after an hour and half or so. Do you have any recommended kb's? Cheers

With clip-ons you should be doing push-ups because that's what you're doing all day particularly when on the brakes hard. For my upper back I also do reverse flys which really helps. Lower back if you have no disk issues you can do reverse sit-ups. Not sure about a kidney belt a narrow weight lifter's belt might be a better option. And you'll be surprised how many of us ride bicycles like JAG.
 
I'm already doing weightlifting and stuff 😂 not that I'm the fittest but I'm training seriously when I can. So I underqtand no use for this belt right?

I can't imagine a belt on, but use one and see if it helps. I can't ride a bike with clip-ons very long either but i'm really old. Messing with the bar width and droop might help.
 
I have a panigale v2 and have siatica. The main key is to stretch before , during and after your rides. I would also try and focus on doing any exercise that will help build your core up and at times try and use your legs to hold you up to take tension off your wrist ( should always be loose ). You could also take a aleve 30 minutes before your ride to help with any inflammation that might occur while you are riding. But I find stretching and using your legs to hold you up works best.
 
Yep stretches I do and I will stop every 1
Hour and half to relax the body. So i can conclude that kidney belt wont help the case lol
 
I don't think a kidney belt would help, but tank grips might. Grippy material for your knees will help you support your core, on the rare occasion I am on a street bike on public roads my knees are holding me up and just barely touch the bars for throttle and steering, keeps me far more upright than a "tall tuck" I see most sport riders doing.

It's true that I often ride in jeans and dont have tank grips which keeps me lose on the knees after a while. I might try that
 
I have an 1199 and I prefer using my Sequence shirt, which has a wide velcro attached kidney belt, instead of a jacket, even though the jacket has better abrasion resistance. The main reason is that in the tuck it helps support my abdominal muscles, lessening fatigue, and my back feels much better after a long ride. If you are not wearing a kidney belt, especially a wide one, I think you are missing out on a very useful piece of kit for your ride. Having it integral with your jacket or body armor is a big plus. Good tank grips, as well as a tank spacer, are also a great idea to help hold you in the saddle and reduce your back and abdominal stress.
