So as I'm wrapping this up to get ready for the track day coming up next weekend I discover today that I have a leak in the fork... I ride an '12 1199s

Thanks to the workshop manual and my local mechanic I think we can tackle the task before we leave, however I have a few questions hopefully you guys can chime in.
1. I don't have a dealer in my area, where can I get some seals and bushings fast?
2. As most of the riding this season will be at the track, any pointers on oil levels in the forks or anything else we should watch out for when we get this handled?

Any wisdom is highly appreciated

Ferracci has them in stock according to their site. (215) 657-1276

If not try Ducati Of Omaha

Oil levels I have no clue about sorry

Appreciate it. Digging through the threads saw Kyle Racing carrying seals at a way lower price than anywhere I've seen!

Perhaps let us know part number, source you purchased and cost if you get a chance.
This sounds like something one should have in their spare-parts box before a track weekend.

I certainly will. I'm reaching out to Spiegler Performance, which is an Ohlins dealer here in Dayton OH, fairly local to me. I'll have a chat with them and see what their suggestions are. From my initial research, seal kit from Ducati runs about $123 (part number 349.2.131.1A) and equivalent Ohlins kit is about $60 (PN 04730-01, to be confirmed).

As far is oil is concerned, I've learned that you want to make sure you use the specific Ohlins oil for the forks, it runs at about $27/liter (PN H01313-01) but I'll reconfirm it all after I talk to their Ohlins tech tomorrow.

As per Ohlins Service Center:
Oil is at 220 mm on top of string and the plastic preload tube for forks FG9250 and FG9251

In case anybody is interested, my buddy at Ohlins Service Center is converting the electronically adjustable forks and rear shocks into manually adjustable for track/racing purposes. As he is located in Hungary, I doubt if that is very exciting for overseas people, but I can provide details if there is any interest.

Try Commonwealth Ducati in Louisville. They usually have a pretty good stock of parts on hand.

So picked up all my parts from Spiegler Performance Parts today. 2x seals, 2x dust seals and 2 liters of fork oil cost me $110. The ones they gave me are labeled for Yamaha, but they explained that the seals are identical for those forks. will get that done tomorrow and I'm off to the track for the first time this season!

Also, talked to Mike (I believe) at Kyle Racing, and he let me know that single best thing to do to improve the stock forks for the track is to upgrade the valves, which usually runs about $600 for both forks.

SO... Took apart the forks... oil was FILTHY! the bike only has about 12k miles on it... Left fork had the washer installed upside down with the seal, so I wonder if that caused the leak.
After looking over a workshop manual and talking with a few dealers, turns out that I have one of the very first batches of 12' 1199s to ship! So with that being said the Ohlins forks were different from the rest, it was 2011 model year forks, I did not have the Cartridges as described in the workshop manual... so after speaking with Kyle Racing I was able to finally figure out the exact amount of oil I needed and put everything back together.

Damn Ducati, they never make anything easy...

Did you pick your bike up from the dealer as soon as it arrived and was prepped? (I did.) If so, when did you buy your bike?
I picked mine up in the US on May 4th 2012. Based on all of the problems I had in that first year of ownership, I imagine mine was also an early shipment.
I'm glad you got this figured out before your track day.

i just had FastFrank install the Ohlins in my base forks and was happy to have the oil swapped (of course)...IMHO that is a major maintenance item that should be done every 5k miles...
