LED headlight install on a base ?

I recently bought the LED headlights and I want to install them on my base. I've seen the DIY - it seems simple but I do not want to modify my harness.

I do want to buy the 1199s harness instead so I've got a couple of questions.

How involved is it to install the 1199S harness ?
Will the bike(base) have any error codes if the S version harness is installed ?

finally, is it even worth it to replace the harness ? Should I just suck it up and deal with modifying my stock harness ?
 
1. Modify your harness.
2. Do not waste money on an s harness.
3. The S harness will have extra wires hanging around due to the electronic suspension.
4. Therefore not having an electronic suspension you will have the DES error and check engine light on.


Follow the DIY and bam you have led's.
 
Follow my DIY n save yourself a headache and more importantly tons of $$$

Sell your base headlights and if you decide to sell the bike, sell it with the led headlights. Much much easier.
 
Thanks for the replies guys I think I'll just install it with the stock harness then.

One last question. . What connector should I buy if I don't want to clip the plug on the s headlight? I think it's a 5 pin connector but anyone knows where I can buy that ?
