Anyone know the secret to eliminating the hyperflash when installing aftermarket led front signals? I know the non-US market bikes come with them, but the enormous incandescent front signals on the US bikes are hideous. I've installed similar-looking but much smaller & nicer CNC Racing led signals, but cannot find resistors to make them happy. The ones that came with the signals were over 3 ohm, and the leds would not light at all; I've tried 4 more versions of the 1.5 ohm/10 watt resistors, which should mimic the original bulbs, but I only get one flash then nothing or still hyperflash. The only option which works is a homemade resistor using a small incandescent with wires soldered on, wrapped in high temp insulation.. but even that isn't dependable as the tungsten's resistance changes as it gets hotter. I had to deal with something like this on other led retrofits, but it was typically finding a minimum resistance for the flash module to work right. Is there an alternative led-friendly flash module available, similar to what you can use in vehicles? Stuck with goofy fast flashers at the moment.
