Is that your bike/mod in the youtube video? or did you find this video?

Sick mod Carbon, you have big brass balls for opening that sealed headlight compartment and the patience of a Yoda Master. I wish I could do this too!

I enjoy doing things like this on my spare time. Not scared of anything automotive, electrical, or mechanical. I'm an electrical technologist, & restore cars on my spare time.

Well done, good job. Great to see you got that working, you may get flooded with requests for it now but then again, your winter is pretty long.....
Good job.

Cool man, since you have the experience, I was wondering if it is possible to use the auxiliary light wire to convert it to charge mobile devices? I was going to buy a charging cable then splicing it to the male part.
Great job on the lights!
Cheers.

Id recommend taping into the back of the Ducati GPS fuse.
In the owners manual shows the location of it.
Its not used unless u do have the Ducati GPS feature.
Also it turns on with the key and its 12V.

I wonder if it would be possible to do a similar mod to the tail lights and put some LEDs in place of the light diffuser thing or whatever it is, the thin bit that runs top to bottom....

tail lights look hard to open up. I just took advantage of darkness inside the tail light area and stuck them on the outside of the tail light.

I have finally taken the time to pull the headlight apart, whoa, what a job!!!! I have a base and you are correct, it will be more work, however I am looking at mounting the LED's on a piece of 90deg angle and putting it in the gap between the headlight reflector and the black internal plastic, I really appreciate you posting this as it gave me the inspiration to do it.

I just looked at my headlight and the strip lighting was going to be a mission. Looked at my old factory rear indicators and said yes they will be modified. So dismantled and now in the headlight, sealant curing. Will post a series of pics I took.

Last pic is the centre of the headlight with the insides of the rear indicators.
