From the Ducati 999 mirror collection : with a 38mm drop in mount to fit the Panigale. Less antler....

Are these bolt on repalcements? I got the euro rear signals, as I like to keep the orginal design, just less. And have you tried these? As it is with leathers on I have to bend in my elbow to see directly behind me.

A little less rear view and but much less "antlers" than stock.
Less Vibration from ball socket design/slot pivot mount , and unlikely to break at the base like the soft stock now mirrors do.

Stock bolt on, 38mm on center. (incorrectly stated 40mm) with the connector. Anybody in West Los Angeles want to come by ?
I have the mirrors, but I don't a bike yet.

Pictures on the bike please!

Panigale mirror proptotype fitted with mounts I have in house, but knowing 1199 riders : I'll have to see get some CNC mounts based on the stock mounts made. If you have a broken stock left mount....I need it.
Thanks, Moto-science....

Here are the geometry pictures :

Good replacement part if you crash your Panigale though and dont wana pay big bucks on the oem mirrors...but I definitely think the Original mirrors are still far superior due to the length of the neck of the mirror stem. Giving you a better view of whats behind.

Ducati improved on the Panigale Mirrors due to numerous complaints that the 748, 916, 999, 848, 1098, 1198 mirrors were actually useless...due to its short stem stalks. Installing these would just bring back the problem ducati owners had before. But, not a bad replacement option.

I totally get it.....what I know from experience is that the Ducati after market will not buy long mirrors. Italians seem to prefer compact mirrors...on their bikes.

The stock 1199 mirrors were clearly not an aesthetic design feature of the bike. They are removed during most press events for a reason.

At this point, I'd rather go mirrorless or design my own completely. I will say that the OP is on to something though.

With a bit of clever technology (LCD Screen, rear mounted camera, switch and some ECU software) you could VIEW on the existing instrument panel, what is behind you, rather than look at the vibrating mirrors and try to see if that is a cop following you!
Eliminating the mirrors gives the bike a cleaner look.

Another option is to fit LCD screens to the mirrors with rear-facing cameras, with one camera fitted with a telephoto lens - again for looking closer to see if that is a cop behind you, but also for that extra second glance at any pretty girls, or to see how far behind your buddies really are!

The ONLY reasons God gave us mirrors :D

I for one need real working mirrors on the road. If I get booked 2 more times my licence is history. Whats the point in going backwards with a forward thinking machine like the Pani? I dont see the point, unless of course you just like looking at your self:D

first duc superbike I've had that had useable mirrors was this pani.

I need to drop my elbows to be able to see anything with my stock mirrors. Having them shorter I would need to move my whole body. Shorter will look better but render them useless IMHO. I like your creative thinking though.

This is the reason nobody has any drop in aftermarket mirrors....for the Panigale. You are right, stock will function the best.
I did the mock up to see what mirror off the shelf would work....
Anybody in Los Angeles?
