So I did a quick search and didn't really see a thread like this but if there is I do apologize for the redundancy. I thought it'd be interesting to see some of the garage setups you guys have as I know we have some very smart minds on here and I'm curious to see what some of you have come up with. I'm active duty military, drawing down a year tour in Korea before heading back to my home on the east coast and I'd love to get some inspiration and ideas of how I could revamp my garage by taking a gander at what some of you have put together.

Here are a few pics of my own as it sits right now even though it's definitely nothing spectacular by any means (hence part of the reason for this thread). I know a lot of them are focused around my car which is what my buddy's intentions were when he sent me these since being over here in Korea but there the only pictures of the garage I've really got at the moment. I do plan on getting a storage unit for the things that don't really belong in the garage such as lawn equipment, spare wheels for the car and the jeep and things like that. Hopefully that'll clean things up a bit so I can spread out the car and the two bikes some and get to working on them a little easie. So let's see em!

I live in it so it looks like a fully furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bath and kitchen living space. If I could store my motorcycles inside, I would but my carbon mountain bike gets that priority parking.

My garage I built in the spring of 2010:

- 30x40' deattached from house
- 12' wide upstairs
- Spiral staircase
- two 12' wide 8' tall doors on the front
- one 8' wide 8' tall door on the side
- one 36" walk through door
- 10' ceilings (wish I would have done 14'
- three floor drains and two sewer drops
- plumbed for water
- three 2" pvc conduits to the basement in the house
- 1" gas line to the house
- 100 AMP electric subpanel from house
- Alarm panel, wired to house, multiple sensors on every entry point as well as beam sensors
- Rapid Air system with 14 air drops (I hate having air cables run around the floor) 60 gallon tank
- Motorcycle lift

There is more, here is the building phase, and some other images will follow up after.

I decided when planning for the build to do a 2' concrete wall above the floor with standard 8' 2x6 studs. This would allow for "accidental" bumping of the wall without real damage, and gave me a bit more insulation. It's still a work in progress, not finished inside as much as I would like.

Where you see the gooseneck trailer, that's 44' long.

Cool car. Wish we could get a RHD version here in Australia. We now get the Mustang but not in the GT350 version, just the V8 and turbo 4.
