Light on R and S model

Is the (front) headlight on the 1299 R and S model the same? As far as I can see from the pictures, the connectors are different. It's a 2015 model.

R has normal lights , S led.

Yes, both have led lights S and R, but connectors are different I think?

The base and R have halogen lights, the S had LED. It was a pretty common mod for the 1199/1299 to install the LED headlights from the S model. I did this with my 1199 back in the day. The plugs are different, but it's easy to wire. There are a few threads on this site on how to do it.
