hello, just bought a panigale tricolore today and i was looking to change the rear sets to reverse shift like i do on all my bikes. i was wondering if i buy the lightechs does the reverse shift version of there rear sets work with the oem quick shifter or do i have to buy the ducati reverse quick shifter?

thanks in advance for the responses, i tried to do a search but i didn't get anywhere...

You have to buy the reverse shifter if you plan to keep the quick shift option.

You don't have to buy the reverse shifter if you go with the DP rear sets! The standard quick shifter works in either configuration.

Guys, this is really gonna sound dumb to anyone who reads my post. I buy parts for bling and don't really do lots of serious riding however I thought the quick shift is already on the stock shifters and what the hell does reverse shift mean?

Sorry for being a noob!!

I thought there was a difference between the push/pull vs pull/push of the quick shifter modules. When I installed a Bazzaz FI TC on my Streetfighter I had to select which shifting pattern I wanted. I prefer reverse shifting and miss it on the 1199. I may have to fork over the money for the reverse shift module.

Reverse shifting means press down to shift up and up to shift down. I use to easily do this by flipping the gear linkage around. I set it up on my old track bike and shifting was so much better.

Thanks Knutts,

Is that the normal setup MotoGP Riders have or is this just a preference thing ie comfort shifting up n down?

I always called it GP shift! Honestly I am not sure how the MotoGP or SBK bikes shift. Almost everyone I know that tracks their bike use reverse shifting. For me, it is by preference and easier to launch off the line as well!

So can anybody tell me which Rearsets are compatible with the oem quickshifter in reverse shift? I was just wondering what options I had. Thanks guys

Sorry for the impending outburst, but I ....... quit.

USE THE GOD DAMN SEARCH FUNCTION

/thread

I feel only slightly bad because I can envision the user base. The lightechs with the GP option preserve the std QS.

EVERYBODY - I thought about this search thing, where certain people get aggravated that the same questions get asked everytime someone joins the forum. You know, maybe they just want a conversation, to say hi, get some input, and don't want to just "Google" the forum. So answer them, and get over it. Especially you Gunny :) They were there for us when we joined, and it's our duty to return the favor, even if over, and over, and over.

Last post for the day. Night all...

I digress but I'll still help anyone.
