Liquid Wrap done.

FWIW, I did a similar home job on some superduke parts.

I sprayed the parts with several coats of plastidip.. think it was 6 or so.
Then when dry I sprayed normal 2k clear over the plastidip.
2 coats , a light sand and one more wet coat.
Looks amazing actually.
The trial parts peeled easily . The parts on bike are holding up as well as any good paint job.
Dunno if what I did will cause trouble down the line haha.

To the OP, I assume the liquid wrap is similarly applied ?

Yes sir. From what I know. But my guy said it's a different material than plastidip. I don't know the details unfortunately.

Did you powder coat those wheels? If so what color are they? What powder coating brand did you use? And what is the powder coating code? Im looking to powder coat my wheels that matte gold color. I was told it would be pricier that if I powder coated them a gold color. Here in Long Island NY they charged me $400 to powder coat my S1000R wheels cherry red metallic. Normally they charge $300-$350 with removing the tires then mounting and balancing them. But because I gave my wheels with the bearings and drives in them. They charged me $400 to powder coat the wheels, mount and balance the wheels, press in the bearings and put the drives back in. They have done countless parts for my harleys as well.

The powder coat guys I use told me that if I wanted that matte gold magnesium look its a two stage process. So 2 types of powder coats had to be used. And since they dont do that many magnesium gold jobs the price would be higher because 1) they would sit on the powder coat color. and 2) That top color is more expensive than other gold colors

It's real Marchesini forged magnesium. Came like that.

Wish I could buy those wheels. But I just dumped $3190 into my Harley dyna by converting it into having dual disc brakes with Brembo Radial .484 calipers. I had to buy a right lower leg, 2 axial to radial mounting brackets, 2 new brake rotors to replace the 11.5 Performance Machine Hooligan rotor I have now, 11/16th master cylinder, replaced the Performance Machine 21x3.5 wheels with a Performance Machine 19x3 wheel with a dual brake hub, Magnum shielding upper and lower dual brake lines, and bolts to attach the Brembo .484 radial calipers to the Krause mounting brackets that attach to where the axial caliper would have been but now will be on both sides to have dual brakes. I was an ..... for putting a 21x3.5 inch wheel on my dyna 3 years ago. Did it for looks and regretted it ever since because of how dumpy it feels and how much more effort I put into low leaning turns.

Thanks! My favorite color of all time is the San Marino Blue on my BMW M6, so this is as close to that as possible, plus gold flakes to tie in my wheels.

The tank is actually a brushed aluminum wrap. It's aluminum anyways, but since I'm keeping the rest of the oem red paint underneath I didn't want to just mess with the tank. Just holding on to resale value when the time comes to trade in.

mine too. that color is fantastic on the m6. only car to get that color.

Can I ask what breed those knee grips are? Thanx in advance. Oh, everyone here at work reckons it looks great.

Thank you sir. The tank grips are from Stompgrip. They have black or clear... But I find the clear turns yellow quite easily.

Lol he's a complete ...... Long story short, I bought the go pro mount from him. I messaged him and he said to buy it on ebay so I did. Shipping time was estimated at a month which was weird but whatever. Paid it right away, got a dud tracking number as it wasn't trackable. Oh well it's cheap. 5 weeks go by (1 week past the eBay eta) and nothing. I emailed him politely to see if he has any info on the package, no reply. Waited 3 days. Then emailed again politely asking if he got my previous email. Also messaged him through eBay. No reply after another few days. So I filed a dispute with ebay. He responded right away saying "I shipped it! What do you want?!" I asked him if he got my emails and messages and he said he did. I asked why he didn't reply he just said "What do you want me to say?" wtf. Anyways ebay dispute sided with me and he gave me a refund. A few days later I received the product in the mail. I emailed him letting him know that and sent the full amount back to him via PayPal right away (when I could have easily kept it since it wasn't trackable, but that's not me). No reply from him whatsoever. So ok. Now he wants to pick on my posts?

Most people know me as a straight shooter. Sometimes too straight. That's why I'm not letting it slide.

I got one from him too, I think there is a big language barrier going on. Plus italians are very big "eh whatevers" types haha.

Howd you like replacing those ignition post studs? I had to get creative to pull them apart.

Yeah that's fine by me. But when it's way past due date and the dispute date was coming up, and after sending 2 polite emails and having no reply? I don't feel like getting scolded for it.

Anyways, those came out quite easily for me as soon as the loctite was broken.

Superb job on the liquid wraps. Great fit and finish.

Is that the stock windscreen on your bike or did you get the tall one? And which tail tidy is that?
Thank you. The color may be a love it or hate it thing but the fit and finish has really surpassed my expectations.

The windscreen is a DP unit and the tail tidy is from Evotech.

Cheers.

Its not a colour I would choose for myself, but it works well. The combination
of the darker tones and deep gloss have a remarkable slimming effect, in the pics at least.
