In the US Lo jack is not an alarm. it is a tracking system that the police can use to find your bike if it is stolen. Typically the bike is stolen and parted out within 24 hours with the lojack module discovered and destroyed before the police find the bike. IMHO...Theft insurance+GAP coverage and don't park in know bad parts of town. Wheel/brake locks will make thieves move to the next unlocked bike before yours.
