Well I found a 14r with 1200miles for 17.9 and I found a 15r with 1500miles for 19.9k
Both bikes are close to stock and cherry. I’m still leaning towards the 14r just such a gorgeous bike. Hard decisions and kinda skeptical on 15r being that cheap especially being at a dealer. They claim bike was bought from them and guy could no longer pay for it so they got it back.

Are you wanting an R simply for it being an R model? My wife surprised me last year with a base 1199 with some upgraded suspension components and accessories. I couldn't be happier and total cost was about 13K here in Florida. Just food for thought. I know most of us simply want the best just because so I certainly understand.
No matter what you will enjoy it. Especially coming from an 07 R1(which is a great bike btw).

Yeah when I buy something i like to buy the top model. Looks like I'm moving forward with the 2015R

Well my 2015R arrived on Monday. Wow what a beautiful piece of machinery!! Definitely a completely different animal compared to my R1 and I thought my R1 with undertail got hot. This thing cooks but whatever it’s worth it! Now only question is where do a post. It’s a 1199 with 1299 clothes so confusing lol

Dude, I purchased an 1199R about 4 months ago, I commute on it every day and every day it brings this awesome smile to my face. It is an amazing fantastic bike and if you really enjoy riding you will not regret the purchase. They go like a cut cat, they roar like a lion and they pretty much leave everything else on the road in the rear view mirror.
So,my advice, don't listen to all the people who say you can't commute on one of these as you can. Most are speaking from a position where they have never done it.
Live your dreams, get the bike you want, roar through the traffic on this purebred italian super model.

I purchased a 14 1199R in the spring and I'm in love wit it. No sport bike is comfortable to commute on so you might as well get something fun. For the record, my bike has over 6k miles on it and it feels brand new. The most incredible feature of the R is just how fast it revs due to the lighter internals. Congrats on a great bike.
