Loose hose !?!?

Working on a different project (new signals) I saw this. Smells like fuel? Should be connected?

Please assist all knowing ones...

Looks like your fuel tank breather hoses, and yes should be joined if it is.

I'm pretty sure that's the hoses to the eliminated charcoal canister. One is vacuum and should be plugged. The other is vent and should remain as such

Front one with the thread braiding in it.
