Lorenzo's crew to remain at Yamaha

I think Lorenzo will have to keep Stoner close to him about bike set up even though their styles are different. Stoner may be a bridge of sorts until the senergy develops. Qatar will be telling but not the dooms day scenario that people may feel it to be. He will also have several months to work with the new team so I'm not worried. If anything Lorenzo knows how to work hard.

At this point I don't think Qatar, Austin, or Argentina mean anything. Those are races that cater to the Desmo's strength. We won't get confirmation that Ducati's problem was a talent problem until they're at a track where you can't use the Desmo's straight line speed as a weapon.

i disagree with you on this although i agree with you if that makes sense.
i agree with you where you say a track where you cant use the desmos straight line speed as a weapon
where i disagree is where you say qatar austin or argentina doesnt mean anything. i think it means everything. if the desmo cant win there then where is it going to win?

well MM owns austin. he makes men look like boys there. so if ducati cant win qatar or argentina there are problems.

calling casey stoner. come in casey. anybody home or still fishing?

Casey is only 30 and I am sure he would be faster than Dovi if he wanted to be.

i know tests dont matter compared to a real race but stoner is faster than all ducati riders. now its not a race but still says a lot about the factory guys.

Stoner's 2m 1.103s was set on the 37th of his 45 laps, using the hard rear. It put him 1.008s behind Pramac Ducati pace setter Danilo Petrucci (soft rear) and 0.948s from the fastest hard tyre lap by Yamaha's world champion Jorge Lorenzo.

But Stoner looked to be faster than the other Ducati riders on the hard tyre.

Petrucci, for example, did not break the 2m 2s barrier after his morning flyer, with team-mate Scott Redding (7th) setting a 2m 1.8s in the closing stages of the day.

Factory stars Andrea Iannone (8th) and Andrea Dovizioso (14th) set a best of 2m 1.6s and 2m 2.4s respectively in the afternoon. Iannone and Dovizioso were starting work on the new GP16, but either way it was - as many expected - another impressive performance by Stoner, who insists he has no need to chase lap times on the soft tyre anyway.

I see Gigi having to reconfigure the chassis to work with Lorenzo's heavy on the front riding technique.
As opposed to Stoner's ride the wheels off of whatever you got and win technique.
