Lost key code

Hi I have lost the key code you know the one that is attached to the key does anyone know if the dealerships keep them on file.
 
Ok this is getting confusing in simple terms what is the E lock unit and the DDS and by the way thanks for taking the time to get back to me. Also how do you access these programs

To me, that key code is useless. Dealer wouldn't even make new keys for me with the key code and proof of ownership. They want to go the expensive route by replacing the ignition, new code, new keys and new ECM.

@The Ox I'm kind of in the same situation as you. There is a Panigale 959 that I want to buy. The owner has both keys but not the key code. Were you ever able to retrieve it?

The key code is for cutting a new key not the e-key unlock code.

And no Ducati don’t keep them on file I asked.

e key is user set can be viewed and reset with dds and melcodiag.
