There is another way he is not mentioning. I've done this with the exact same fastening method on car interior side panels. Take a plastic welder, heat up the black plastic to release the factory lower panels. Put the carbon piece in there and re-plastic weld onto the fairing. No bolts required.

Great idea ArcticWhite, I will take a look more into this. I also used to perform plastic welding using PVC rod for a PVC tank a long time ago (with Leister Plastic Welding Tools). Maybe I can use this again.

By the way, this group buy is officially cancelled (at least I am out) because I just purchase a USED Panigale v4 Complete Lower Belly Pan fairing. I will detach the lower black plastic extension and decide whether to overlay it with a Real Carbon Fiber or even do one step harder, which is make a mold out of it, then make the plastic extension solely from Carbon Fiber only... Wish me Luck :p
Both my sons encourage me to do this, because good or bad, it is ours :D

Did this ever go any near to production with Carbott Composites?
I have a 2024 (straight lower fairing) and I'm looking for carbon extensions as well. Anyone knows?
