has anyone installed it yet? whats the trick and is it so much better than stock?
i already thought of a velcro pad pairing for the wife's leathers and the seat ;-)

my bad...didnt realize your post said "passenger seat cover". didn't know you could put a passenger on this bike!

the rider's seat cover is what i was speaking of.

Are yoiu the one that did pics awhile back? I have it for my comfort seat, stapler ready - just haven't had the nerve yet to try :(

its not that difficult to install. the plastic seat base is very hard. if i could do it over again, i would have bought an air stapler to use with my compressor as several of the staples failed to get a good purchase on the first try (some took 4 tries!) the end result was worth it.

I do have an air gun as well. My main hesitation was getting it stretched/centered correctly. Should it be heated first, or just room tempature?

I installed the Luimoto cover on my stock seat as well. I ran into the same problems as RSR with the staples not piercing the seat plastic, even with a an electric staple gun. Otherwise, the installation was not too bad.

Sorry. I should have added that I installed the seat cover at room temperature and did not have any issues with stretching it to fit, getting it centered, etc.

Nice deal

Myself and another member here sent ours to Luimoto personally for the build. They installed the Gel pads and mounted the Italian seat covers for our bikes which to my pleasant surprise came out VERY nice I must say!

I had comfort seat on before and have only ridden a few miles with Luimoto seat but it does seem to be a winner right now. The gel pads were a must since I didnt want to go from comfort to plywood board feel without it. True road test for long ride will have to wait until spring. You guys riding in this 20 degree weather must have a permanently shrunken ball sack for sure! (RSR!)

Those froze away long ago....

Same here... I did just put it over the stock cover though. It fit just fine. Had to wrestle it like an anaconda a bit but it came out centered and all.

I pulled the stock cover off so I could add the gel pad (be careful if you do this not to tear the underlying foam). Cutting the foam for the gel pad insert was tedious (and made a huge mess). But the end result is nice. My only issue is I still tend to slide into the tank under hard braking, which I attribute to the pitch of the stock seat and a need for higher foot pegs, so I can grip the tank better with my knees (or it could be that I am simply looking for a good excuse to buy new rear sets). :D
