Mirrors (again)

I gave up, my standard mirrors were just horrible.

I went with the Futurismoto block of blinkers in alloy, they really are quite brilliant.
Went with a Rizoma spy arm bar end mirror in aluminium which is a work of art and is flawless, I can actually see what's going on behind me now. I put this on my main side, for us that's the right.
On the left I put the small diameter Rizoma blindside spy bar end mirror for legal purposes and to see in dual lanes before overtaking. Again in alloy.

I am very happy, and now have no ugly big black mirrors hanging off the front fairing.

Going to the track is simply removing the bar ends, all too easy.

I did this too recently. I could not stand the awful vibration sent into the mirrors. It made them virtually pointless.

So got myself the Futurismoto blinkers and deleted the mirrors altogether. Will see how far this gets me on public roads as mirrors are mandatory.

I've put the moto-science ones on mine. They fold and don't vibrate!

If you go to their website and look at the v4 section there is a pic of my bike right down the bottom.

I looked at these. How are they on length. position and usefulness compared to the original ones

The arms are about 100mm long.

They are much better than the original ones as they do not vibrate and you can actually see what's in them.

The position is as good as any other sports bike I've owned ;)

That is, you still need to move your arm to look in them but that's what they're all like.

That didn't answer the question. They do look shorter. However, if they don't vibrate that is a definite improvement.

That's what I was getting at. They do look shorter as with the original ones I can see a little without moving my arm.
Might just bite the bullet with these as I don't see any other options anyway

Motzarelli,
You can get Rizoma Veloce L mirrors, but you need the base adaptor for the V4. These are beautiful mirrors but real pricey. All up about $1000 you get them in Australia from hurtlegear.com.au

I went with the Rizoma bar ends from hurtlegear and Futurismoto blinkers

I’m not sure what else you’re looking for from me?

As i said, they are shorter than OEM, they fold, they don’t vibrate, and as with all sports bikes I have ever owned, you still need to move your arms to see what is behind you.

All I needed was the folding option, as even though I have an extended garage, the OEM mirrors not folding made it tight to fit the cars and bike in with all the other stuff.

Please let me know what else I could tell and I will let you know.

It's all good. I think you have answered everything and it seems I'm in the same position with you and too many toys and not enough garage space

Nah, you did good bro. Thanks for the info. They are shorter by a little bit, you can still see, a plus is they don't vibrate, and they don't cost a grand. We got it!

DucSyd can you share what exact bar ends you got and maybe a pic (not necessarily from your bike)?

Hi Ducsyd,
Is it possible to get a pic of your setup? Was about to purchase the v4 and this is pretty similar to the setup I was thinking of going with. PM if you want. Thanks in advance

Ben 5S here you are...

Well. I went with Rizoma. Pricey, but nothing comes close to looking "OEM" like the Rizoma's and I did not want to go bar end mirrors. Yes, they don't alleviate the issue the stock mirrors had, but I just lift my right or left elbow and look under to find the view from behind. But I love the look.
