This is a re post but I thought about this trip recently as I am hoping that Phillip Is is back on again this year. Tell us your story of a favourite moment on a ride. Does not have to be a Ducati.

Recently I went on a trip to Phillip Is to watch the MotoGP. I was in a group of six and not one was a Ducati let alone a Panigale. There were 3 Kawasaki GTR, 1 Honda Blackbird, 1 Kawasaki ZX14 and my K1300S Beemer. On the first day on a quiet road we were all riding along at a good pace, in a staggered formation about 1 bike length apart going into a right hand bend which crested a hill. The view in the background was distant mountains and the ocean. I had some nice music going and mated with exhaust note of the bike in front of me made the nicest music to me ears I have heard in a while. Coupled with the rush of wind and the feel of the road through the Metzeler tyres on the beemer gave me a real rush.

One of those times when you remember why we go motorcycling. Does not matter which bike you have, they are all fun. :)

Towards the end of my project in darwin, sold the 1199 race bike and rode the 899 from Darwin to Brisbane. Theres some pretty big distances between fuel stops in the NT.....especially with 130kph or open limits

That sounds truly dreamy. Philip Island is #2 on my "must ride" tracks. One of these days I need to get down under there.

you can hire s1000rr for a session or the day. Making it very accessible even for tourists.
Fantastic track.
