More Hidden Leaks While Prepping for Rad Guard

This is getting pretty old, but I found this golden nugget when removing my radiator to install the COX guard. THe other valve cover was just fixed...

Sweeeeet.

Am I the only one who has these issues or does no one else work on their bikes?

Installed Evotech radiator guards on my S, and it didnt require removal of the fairings and radiators...it was a simple 10min bolt on job which used the existing screws of the 1199...ingenius design idea.

Hmmmmmmm...wont be able to tell if I have leaks like that, unless I remove my fairings and radiator....damn. Hope I dont have any leaks...

I knew it would be a little harder, but this was pretty easy to me (I was able to completely disassemble the bike in 20 minutes). The only other SNAFU was one of the bolts needed to be extracted (had to cut a slot with dremel and use a flathead to get it out). I think once it's done, it will look cleaner being between the shroud and the cores. I also wanted to swap coolant anyway. Good opportunity to fix any bent fins and clean it out. I have COX on my other bike and felt they make a great product.

Would have been easier if I removed the wheel, but I didn't feel like it.

I was just thinking the same thing. I'm going to try to get a dental mirror or a video inspection tool in there and see if I can see without taking too much apart. I'd rather take it apart when I have a better reason to - like a mod or something.

It's an adj. shift rod that I can adj. without removing the shifter from the bike.

I had Purple Ice in it, been meaning to switch over to Water Wetter.

Yo Trans, just to let you know, I've just put mine back together after fitting rad guard and general winter clean/check over, no sign of any leaks front or rear on mine...........

I have a small coolant leak but nothing like that. Besides the bike is still under warranty; until it's not, the dealer gets to do all the work.
