I went in 2015. It's a decent spectator track. Where are you sitting?
If you haven't booked a room yet, I highly recommend Hotel Bülow Palais, in Dresden. It is by far the cheapest 5 star hotel I've ever stayed in (like sub $200 a night) and Dresden turned out to be a cool little city.

Thank Rogue, I am staying at Schlosshotel Klaffenbach in Chemnitz for 250 for two nights and it is nonrefundable. Maybe next time for sure.
