Mounts, Hardware install help..

Ok so there are bits and pieces concerning this discussion in numerous threads so id like to start one for just this matter.

Whats the best set up for an iphone 5 as far as mounting on this pani? HAs anyone tried this that Ram says will fit on the brake/clutch handle? The clearance seems very little for an actual phone. This is just the base but if you could link to your mounts/bases id appreciate it.

Try these:

TECHMOUNT - Home

Gives you an idea of different kinds of mounts you can use. I would call to make sure you order the right diameter if you use a handlebar or fork tube mount. I loved the fork tube mount, I used to have one on my previous bike. It simply mounts a ring over your fork tube and you tighten a setscrew. It swivels in whatever direction you want, then you have a phone clamp to hold your phone or GPS.

Well the Panigale is too new for them to have developed a specific search for it. But I am sure they have something to fit the dimensions of what you want to mount it to. They make mounts for most bikes. A lot of them are universal.

As with others, I went a cheaper route - RAM Mount Motorcycle Fork Stem Base with 1 inch Ball

$14.54 plus a $0.25 for a spring toggle.

Good minds think alike. This is a super piece of gear which is as secure as it comes. Also have the universal Xgrip cell holder which is wicked secure at holding it in place on steering stem.

By the way, unless you are wanting video or maps, the use of the Scala Rider com with iPhone aleviates much need to mount with the bluetooth. It will give you turn by turn directions through a ton of apps, including the base google maps. And fantastically, if you hold down middle button on Scala for just a second, it activates Siri, and you can ask your phone to do whatever, call, send text message, play music, whatever.
