I just noticed some movement on my DQS shift rod on my 1199. I am not sure if this is normal. I have had a look at other pictures on the net and the hex bolt is there as it is supposed to be but there is this lateral movement at the top joint.

Swivelling or sliding from one side of the bike to the other?
Its supposed to have some swivel, its a rose joint.

If its side to side then the bolt needs tightened.

Hi , the top joint near the hex bolt is where the movement is, the joint doesn't actually move as in slide, but I guess is is doing what you describe as swivel in that this is some lateral movement but it stays in place.

I have updated the photo showing where the movement is happening.

All sorted just went up to Gold Coast Motorcycle Tyres & Mechanical who have an ex ducati mechanic working there, movement is normal. I highly recommend this business for services and tyres, great service.

i had the same issued in the past. hard riding if u ride hard always check that bolt once in a while. due to vibration get loose.
