Multi RS + top box?

All, I was under the impression the Multi RS cannot accept the OEM accessory top box because the subframe and tail sections are different compared to the non-RS models. Can anyone confirm? I'm looking at an RS now and it appears to have the "frame" for mounting the top box pieces, so I'm confused. Attached are pics of two bikes, one with the "top box frame" and one without. Does anyone know what's going on here?

I searched through the Omaha Ducati accessory guide and could not find a mounting plate for the RS. The bike does ship with three lock tumblers, one for each panier and one for a topcase.

Yeah, confusing. I had checked Ducati Omaha identically. Confusing. But I suppose we should believe our eyes. I'll inquire about that particular bike above.

That said, I think I prefer the Touring with the semi-adjustable suspension anyway. Even if I could get an RS with a top box, I think I want the most touring oriented version since I will be using it two-up at times and since I already have a rowdy bike for myself. I want a comfy, quick, tech-full mile-eater out of my Multi. The sportiest one is enticing but I have to remember that I have something more sporty already and I should really be interested in the touring.
