MV Agusta in trouble....

I hate to see that, but I agree, they have been stagnant for quite a while.

Sad to see that.
So much race history from the 50's to the '70's

Don't you worry. MV's history was always full of up and downs!
AMG or another investor will suddenly (re-)appear...

Management was always ......, but the brand name is worth gold.

Is it really the lineup that needs refreshed? The Dragster and F3 are sweet. Cluzel just had an awesome race and victory in super sport but can't say the same for Camier in the WSBK. Seems like the bigger issue is lack of dealer network that doesn't help sales.

The only problem is mr. Castiglioni himself...... He tried to ransom AMG, AMG tried to buy 50% but he fired them ( he said something about italian heritage ) and run to some Italian banks for 40-50 milions of euro. Cash is gone because of new model offensive but u cant get spare parts and etc. He is a mafioso who tries to look like a savior of italian heritage but ........!!

design too busy and confusing line-up... simplify simplify simplify sharpen focus and improve power to weight.. but what do i know..

It is not surprising, I don't think there are enough ghetto pimps looking for pimped out bikes to support them. They might have to go back to their roots if they want to stay in the game.

What a shame. MVs are stunning and beautiful machines Ive always drooled over. But they seemed behind in their performance, handling, electronics, reliability, and aftermarket mods which was a deterrent. Not to mention a practically nonexistent dealer network for repairs or service.
Aprilia kinda suffers from dealer network availability also. Hopefully they can rectify that.

MVs look nice, and ... that's about it. Look any closer, the craftsmanship is inferior to Ducati, the welding, bolts, joints, and fittings are all just subpar. Not to mention actual performance is inferior to Ducati. Why would anymore pay a premium to buy a bike that's lower quality, heavier, and slower.

I don't think thats entirely true. I think the F3 800 was a better bike than the 899. It test rode them both back to back and was contemplating on getting the F3.

Because they have to cut costs like all manufacturers. 1st and 2nd Gen F4s are top notch quality, way better than Ducati during that time.

@Jarel: are you sure? Aprilia?!? :(

lol.... go and look closed to the craftsmanship of MV your Ducati look like they put it together in Home depot.

i'll keep that in mind next time drop by the dealer. my '12 panigale did go through a series of recalls.

Nothing else matters. you say. MV is more exotic for real reasons. Their beautiful, and comfy and powerful. Duc needed help and took it, in the past. MV, took a slightly different course. Those remarks about build quality, haha, my F4 at 5K miles didn't leave me stranded like my 1199. Build quality is very fine on the MV, with more detailing than the Duc. Sorry, but I have both and calling it like I see it.

Wow, these are fighting words to those who actually do look close at their MVs. MVs are a fine build, even the oil filter cover facing the ground is a fine cnc machined work of art. what are you talking about folks?????

I think he was trying to say that the Ducati looks like .... compared to the craftsmanship of the MV.
