Here is my MWR air filter after 6000mi of use. About 3000mi plus on the track. My baby has asthma. I bet she"ll breath a lot better once she is clean.

Thanks Leon. That would explain where the 8 HP went on my last dyno run up top, even though I gained 11 hp in the middle after the RapidBike install. I've got at least that many miles on my MWR HE and sadly haven't cleaned it yet.

Do you have the cleaning kit or how are you cleaning it?

I'm taking mine to Yaman at cycle Pro today so that it can be cleaned right.

BTrain5489.
It's the HE.

i have the he mwr air filter and i cleaned it myself. its very simple. hardest thing is putting the throttle bodies back on and thats simple.

fyi dont over oil it. it will drip off. all you need is the foam pad cleaner. and foam oil. put the cleaner depending on brand in a bucket and then let the thing dry. it takes 2 days to do it correctly

fyi i used the yamalube cleaner and oil works fantastic

Mark,
I could do it myself, but I am now sponsored by RapidBike(CYCLE PRO is now an official U.S.A Distributor of Dimsport , RapidBike products. ), so they will be handling the maintenance of my bike.

wow didnt know that good for you L. i know you could do it yourself anyway i was just stating that it isnt hard. good luck keep me posted . havnt talked to you in a while

Yeah, I've been busy with moving, Trackdays, and getting ready for racing. Call you later tonight.

I just cleaned mine, looked similar and I must say I felt the improvement. BTW, how often should the MWR HE be cleaned?

I only ride on the track, so Yaman suggested checking after my next three track days/races and create a baseline. If its not dirty, check after 5.

Wow Ljuice that filter looks really dirty. At least you're using it! I was thinking about getting one of these filters for my bike as well. I already have the MWR cleaning fluid and filter oil from a previous MWR filter that I had for one of my older bikes.

Yeah man, about 20 track days since last year October. She's been flogged pretty good.

not sure, i'd rather stick with the specific stuff. ask the guys at bellisimoto, they sell the kit ;)
