My 2013 is worrying me a little...

Yeah there is a radiator overflow tank but i don't know on what side it is on a Pani. You might have water wetter in it, it would be really neat if you did.

That tank is on the right underneath the bars almost. You can see the sight glass for it by looking under the front wheel on the right side of the bike. I'm not sure where the overflow hose is routed though. It may be easier to check that than to start pulling fairings.

No Neon lighting or chrome! Yuck, that would make me cry :)

Whats confusing is that it only happened once 2 nights ago, but after last nights ride, nothing. Is there any sort of overflows on this bike that could create that? Im going to get the bike out of the garage and try to figure out how to pull the fairing off an take a look. Im not good at this ...., I'm completely mechanically retarded so this ought to be interesting! Thanks for your input and suggestions. That why i like this forum more than the others.

If you dont know how to fix it,leave it to someone else. Or there could well be real tears, you have been warned my good man. And yes there is a possibility its coolant, most cars run pink coolant these days. Its a higher spec and different blend than the old blue and green ethylene glycols. Its the only thing I haven"t tried looking at on my bike yet so dont know what the fill is, btw thanks for helping me to remember and I am a mechanic:eek:

it was really light pink and clean (sorry im so NOT a mechanic but i didnt think oil was pink?). funny thing is i rode it last night and theres no leak this morning. wtf?

THe liquid was near the front of the bike on left. Im at 350 miles

Could it have been the juice out of a "gators spleen? I just noticed you live in FlowRider;)

You should very easily be able to determine if it's oil or coolant. I'm leaning towards coolant as engine oil would not be pink. Even at only 350 miles it's going to be dark brown to black.

Forks leaking is a possiblilty I suppose, but I don't think that oil is pink and just examine the forks to see if any is dripping down from them. I don't think he said it was around the front tire, which is where a fork leak would probably collect.

So coolant overflow is my guess..

My bike stalled once when started at standstill when new and I was putting on my gear....has stalled maybe twice early on at low speed slowing down but not for the last 8,000km. I've stalled it more times because I'm a klutz with the clutch!

Don't stress, this bike is dynamite! There's so many trolls and scare mongers that a lot of this .... gets blown out of proportion!

Same, mine stalled a few times when stopping during first few miles. No probs now.

can't imagine a dealer prepping a bike with water wetter unless at owner request. No anti-freeze capability.

They wouldn"t svez. Its definitely pink coolant used in the Pani. I just checked owners manual and Shell website. Shell Advance Coolant is pink. The OAT variety of coolant, especially suitable for cranckcases which use magnesium. We can put this to bed now:)

Mystery solved.

Thanks Yall, Dealer says it was coolant as well, i guess it was possibly an overflow issues. Today My bike decided to take literally almost 5 minutes to start after sitting on a slop in my driveway for about 30 minutes (after being ridden for about 50 miles). I read somewhere to just hold the ignition until it starts, well it didn't work for quite some time, until finally it did after i about killed the battery. On top of all that fun, today my seat cowl just blew the hell off the back of my bike which i didn't notice until i got home. No luck locating it either after going back and searching. just another $200. I guess its like breaking a horse, I have to get this bitch in check and let her know who's boss before she costs me any more money. Damnit! Only good news is i got My comfort seat and Ducati stand! Love the seat, talk about grip! Jesus It grabbed my jeans like velcro. And day in the life of a pani owner continues......

Sorry to hear that :(. I rode my Tri today for 200 miles and all was fine. Battery charge was reading 12.8. Then left it on the driveway for 5 min and then when I try to start it again it refused to do so. Really puzzling too. Was able to do it after a little blip on the gas. Really not sure what is up. I am going to do first oil change next week so will ask dealer and see what is the issue. My buddy who rides bmw 1200 today, he stalled twice today. Had to do jump start first and then we have do push him down the road to get it going. What a day!
