I've been riding since is was 16, way back when in 1996. Had all Japanese bikes. Gsxr750, cbr600rr, cbr100rr's, R1, R1M... And now my first Italian thoroughbred.
I thought the R1M was going to be the end all be all, but a short lived dream to own an R35 GT-R led to the R1Ms demise. Finally, after getting rid of Godzilla I felt a void that needed to get plugged. Why not plug it with the sexiest bike ever made?
And that's where we stand today.
I've only had her for a week and the only mod I've made is gp shift because it's what I'm use to.
I've never owned a bike so angry, so HOT tempered, and I'm loving it!
So, if anyone's ever in the NC ft Bragg area, hit me up. I'll be the guy with the flaming crotch, holding on for dear life, with the ear to ear grin

Welcome to the fold, she is definitely a fiery, hot headed, Italian supermodel! You are right about her being angry too, my 1098 sounded like a big, uncorked V8 through the Termignoni's, it was beautiful. My 1199 (also with full Termignoni system) sounds more like a really pissed off and angry mechanical monster.

Congrats! Pretty much same reason why I got a 1299! Not as easy to ride than the typical smooth 4 cylinder, but she's loud and shakes like an old school muscle car. I'm still waiting to test ride the new V4 see if it has the same excitement as the twin.

In all honesty, I've always bought a bike and immediately installed either a slip on or full system to give it some bass. My excuse was because I wanted civilians in their cages to be able to hear me coming and so I wouldn't have to hear the typical noises that come with owening a Japanese bike.
I have no desire to do that with my 1199. The rumble and chaos that comes with the Panigale is Symphony enough. I can't wait to get it on the track and do some track days. Thinking of going with Cornerspeed

Get the exhaust and uncork the noise, you'll go from the finesse of a Symphony to standing next to the speakers at a Metallica concert..
