The wsbk forks Im speaking about on the V4R is the new NIX gas pressurized forks which is the same currently used in wsbk.
Sorry, but you cannot put "NIX" and "gas pressure" in the same sentence. V4s and V4 Speciale are equipped with NIX30 forks--your v4r is equipped with NPX 25/30mm pressurized forks.

WSBK machines typically utilize Ohlins RVP forks and are based on Ohlins "FKR" spring pressure damping technology succeeding Ohlins gas-pressurized FGR forks.

Where are the pics?

Plus Ohlins does not let that kind of tech out to non-authorized riders or teams, so the technology can be copied....No way they would let their top tier racing stuff be put on a bike sold to the public.

Gas pressurized forks if you look on superbike unlimted store cost Round 35k without the tin treatment. Gas forks have never been offered on a street bike before. I do have pictures but new here looks like picture is to big for file to be uploaded need to see how to zip he file. As far as first in us the Ducati sales rep said I was the first to order bike as I ordered befoe bike was released in Italy and ordering is time stamped when u place money down.

Oh I thought gas pressurized shock was a slang term for a Johnson???

congrats.. I was SOOO torn as to wether to wait for the R or get a Speciale... since I'm more a street rider, the decision was a logical one... Enjoy!

I'm heading up there tomorrow morning to see it in person, hopefully before you pick it up. My buddy just purchased an S model from there. Congrats!

who ever the sales guy was, is a real genius.

.

I bought from the same dealer... and sadly, i didnt get this amazing salesman to sell me the R... i must have got the one who understood what the R was. damn

I heard from my local Ducati rep that the first couple V4Rs will have the wheelie control map. You switch it to that mode and that allows you to hit the throttle as much as you want to make the bike come right up. The electronics sense when its 12 oclock and then the ECU limits the power delivery to keep the bike up in that angle. I hear its the same technology theyre implementing in the dirt bikes and quads that ride on i-95.

Since you got the first one you should definitely have it.

You do understand that 99.99% on here don't give a .... about who had the first boner in the dinosaur kingdom (except Prince Albert)?

It would be the case in Dubai, where you'd have your 3 kids being hauled to school in thei own Rolls Royces. And at night you'd .... off over having the first V4R delivered to your penthouse in a helicopter.

Here? Nah brah

The V4R fork have NIX30 on the rebound side and FKR on the compression side. I have the spec cards.

The FKR tech is great for resistance to bottoming and no one ever complains about the rebound circuit on a NIX fork so this is the best of all worlds with respect to price and functionality! Yea!!

This is the same technology Yamaha just introduced on their R1M for 2020. The FKR insert available to install in lots of forks like Showa BPF (899, 959, GSX-R1000) or Showa BFF (ZX-10RR, GSX-R1000R) or Ohlins R&T forks like the 2015-2019 R1M, 1299, V4, etc...is the same valving spec and technology we are talking about here but they only put the compression side on the V4R. The fork insert before the FKR was not generally available unless you had a racing license mostly because they require more maintenance.

And all the suspension companies copy each other. If KYB, WP or Showa wanted to make something similar to Ohlins they would....

Yea, but let's be real here, we're all owners of Ducati bikes. These bikes are explained to the masses as, "The Ferrari of motorcycles." So, to that point, we're all technically showing off that we have a pricey motorcycle. You don't have to say it because you own one lol.

I had an ....... in a FaceBook Ducati group that was selling his V4S. All I said was "How can you sell that beauty." His responses right after were the pics of all his motorcycles. I get the douche-baggery, but I didn't read any arrogance from this OP. Lol...I take it more as excitement. ...., I too would be excited if I got a v4R! Then again, I'm' a noob. I've only owned a Panigale 899, and that was since Feb 2019. I took it out to the ThunderHill track for the CA SuperBike course and that was fun/educational. I can only imagine what these big boys can do with an experienced rider.
