Yeah, pretty much what the title says. I've got a textile jacket (6th gear, i think, cheap ....), but even with the liner removed it's still hot as all hell and makes me sweat. I live in Georgia - this is not okay in the middle of July. What are your suggestions?

Suggestion? Move. If it's the middle of July and you're in Georgia, you're gonna sweat. To expect otherwise is to live in fantasy land.

I got a Dainese super speed textile. Works great but if you crash, don't expect it to protect you like leather.

I also have a XL Rev'It Airwave if you want to buy.

do you want textile or leather. i have both and for the price is second to none. in the summer i wear an rstai chi gmx motion light. its leather it has the most airflow of any jacket except maybe the alpine stars tech air which is double the price. i also have the gmx motion jacket which has a race hump and liner for cold days. again only maybe the tech air has more airflow.

textile you may want to check out the revit . i have the airwave pants and jacket. great thing about the pants is not only do they have great ventilation they zip away like basketball pants. i wear a bathing suit or shorts underneath when i get to where i have to be the pants come off.
if you want the same gear with removable liners revit tornado pants and jacket.

the stuff i am telling you about isnt cheap though however you wont need new every year either.

pm me if you want and i can take care of you on any recommendation.

You should call MotoLiberty in Texas. Audrey owns it and her store is top notch. The guys that work there really know the product. I live in Florida and also ride some up in Georgia around Young Harris and Hiawassee. I called MotoLiberty about a hot weather jacket and they suggested the RS Taichi RSJ275. It is awesome. Very light, mesh, with a chest plate and back padding. Jacket is incredibly comfortable and makes the ride much more bearable in the heat. I have 2 custom/tailor made RS Taichi race suits through MotoLiberty and I buy my Arai helmets from Audrey. Audrey always supported the Hayden brothers and she is very helpful and competitive price wise. Good luck and happy riding.

I can dream, can't I? I love our long riding season but sometimes it's almost unbearable to be on a bike and be properly protected.

Motoport USA | Custom Motorcycle Apparel

Been wearing their Air Mesh Jacket for years. Feels like a t-shirt once you get moving, and you can get it fitted exactly to your size, not some ........ S,M,L. And you can add thicker pads. Already had one get-off in it. It did its job, and its made of kevlar, not plastic mesh.

Found a great summer jacket! Call me a squid, but I bought an Icon Overlord Resistance jacket. It's a fully armored (minus chest protection, i'll add that later) jacket, with a mesh outer layer and lots of rubber padding on the outside. This thing is awesome. It's very sturdy yet light enough I don't feel weighed down. It's very breathable. Retails for about $330 but was shipped for free from Motorcycle-Superstore - long story. I appreciate all your input but my decision ultimately came down to being able to try it on. Call me old school but I just can't buy clothing (riding gear, mainly) without being able to try it on first.

Ride safe everybody,

Slinky

i use my (mountainbike downhill) mesh protector jacket. chest, back arms, shoulders...

awesome in the southern heat.

As Mark419NY stated above. The RS Taichi Peforated jacket is absolutely FABULOUS!

I can literally feel the air flowing thru this thing and if wearing the proper undershirt with it, you will actually feel chilled with all the airflow this thing gets!

RSJ825 GMX MOTION VENTED LEATHER JACKET / RS TAICHI

And this is what I was talking about when i said "Proper undershirt" due to its material and how easy it makes slipping on n off jackets too! RS Daichi makes KILLER GEAR!

RSU280 COOL RIDE STRETCH UNDER SHIRT GRAPHIC / RS TAICHI

All just my honest opinion of course!
I do think Ive even turned quite a few riders onto this jacket too as a matter of fact?
