I kind of made a right mess of things when I stripped the bike of its front, side, lower side and rear fairings and when I decided to put it together every thing went back into place but for some reason I am left with a screw I cannot find the location for - I have literally no idea where it goes. I have looked around the bike so many times but I cannot find a place that I have missed.

I have attached two images of the screw, can anyone please help locate its position on the bike?

Part of the game, every time you work on the bike, you make it lighter

I'm surprised nobody here jumped on the "looking for a screw location" joke yet. Anyway, looks to me like one of the bolts from the underside of the lower fairings - easy to miss during reassembly.

I was excited when I saw this post but I'm not surprised it did not turn out the way I hoped :D
It goes in the recessed locations of the lower parts of the fairing.

HAHA! Cheers, guys! I will have a look under the lower fairing and see if it goes there. From memory there were three screws there and they are all in place but I double check. The existing screws there are black in colour and this one is chrome with some oxidation on it, where ever it goes, looks like it is exposed more to humidity and the lower fairing area looks highly likely, anyways I will check.

Thanks again.

Any further tips, I looked under the lower fairing and all three screws are already there, this one goes some where else from the looks of it since I did not find any space for it under the lower fairing.

This is literally pissing me off lol, where could it possibly go.

Is the screw ferromagnetic? And what's the thread diameter? M5, M6?

Fairing bolts are black, this is something else

I knew that those were black fireman, but just putting it out there, did you only remove the fairings? Or did you take off other things like the computer etc? As this one looks like a bolt that would be under fairings, what about the battery bolt, that's silver, check if it's there.

Mirror? Or maybe the rear fairing inside the rear cowl. Possibly the single bolt under the nose fairing above the front hugger.

I will check that out when I go home today, I doubt if its Ferromagnetic but I could be wrong.

In response to some other questions, I did not take any of the computers out, just the fairings i.e, the front head light fairing, upper right and left fairing, lower right and left fairing, tail unit fairings and the tail. Nothing else..

I believe the air sensor that goes in the ram air duct in the front uses a single silver shoulder screw like that
