Is Ducati still pulling the NGK spark plug trick where they put NGK plugs in a Ducati box and charge way more? I'm looking for the model number for the NGKs, please. Thank you in advance!

I believe they take MAR10A-J

Why isn’t there a sticky for .... like this?

Why you want hotter?

If I increase power I usually put colder

The electrode and the straps are the same

Why do you want a shorter insulator?

Thanks fellas. Interested in the colder/hotter theories. My bike is pretty much stock except for a Sprint filter.

Colder plug has a shorter insulator around the electrode so the tip runs cooler. If you do anything to raise cylinder pressure such as putting a larger dome on the piston or increasing the stroke or add any type of super charger including nitrous or or even using a thinner head gasket ya want to use a colder plug. I use one number colder for every 8 tenths of a point of compression, 10 pounds of boost, or 20hp (per cylinder) worth of nitrous added. If ya don’t not only will it not run right - it will melt the plugs

Makes sense. But 10 is the stock heat though?
