New 1299 buyer

Wellllllll.....Since I'm the new guy who just put a deposit on a 1299
Saturday,I guess it's time to join the forum that twisted my arm into
this madness.

Ya'll are a bad influence.

I had my mind pretty set on a new R1 but the 1299 drew me in like....
well I won't post that here.

I do have one question for the forum...I'm looking for new leathers. As a guy
who spends way to much time at the gym,is it worth trying to find off
the rack fitment or should I just get custom ones? I'm like 5'8" and 235....

BTW,Gulf Coast Motorcycles in Ft. Myers is the dealer I ordered from.

Is it April yet?

I would get customer leathers. I've had my Vanson leathers for a while now (Street Riding, Track Days and Racing), and they have been great.

Yes, welcome and congrats.

Ive often been told I was a VERY bad influence on members here getting them to go absolutely crazy purchasing various mods for their bikes. Its taken as a compliment to be entirely honest!

I put a deposit on a base 1299 last Friday also. It has been snowing here for the last seven days and frigid like ****.
Anyways, my qustion is why is everything Ducati twice the price? I have to admit that it makes searching for things easy: just sort from highest price down...

But when i rush with 180 m/h along the german autobahn or cruise in the alpine region,

i ´m NOT.

I might get the 1299 weeks in front of you-- but you will have fun on the road earlier than me.
