So, back at square one with the exhaust. I talked with some racing guys that have the Akra evo exhaust and they said it is LOUD (111Db). Too loud for any useful riding on the street from my perspective. As tempted as I am to get it, I'll probable stick with the stocker or perhaps Termi slip-on. I just don't like the look of that Full Termi Ti can.

Bronch, I thought you might appreciate this :

Zvez, not loud at all. That loaner that I got has a full system and it is very manageable. Half the loudness of a stock Pani system, but does have a bark if you open it up.

can't imagine running a loud pipe on a bike I'll be doing long distance trips on.

I agree, it sounds great for about a minute then it's a major annoyance. I heard the full termi system and it's louder than stock at mid to higher RPMs but not bad at all. The Akrapovic system on the otherhand would make my ears bleed if I had to ride with that for any distance.

ha Troy thanks, but keep in mind, I'm coming off a goldwing and moving into an MTS, you can't even tell a wing is running unless you rev it! Very quiet, but since I like to do 600-1000 mile days, I think I'll stick with the stock exhaust.

I'm a weenie bronch, I always wear earplugs! :)

Congrats Bronch! That's the next bike I plan on purchasing so me and the wife can take some trips together and just for a more comfortable touring bike with some cargo space.

I also don't like the looks of the bulky looking full Termi system end can and would just get the CF slip-on myself to add a little but keep the noise down.

Thanks, I just got her home! Very happy... Don't miss my Harley anymore, this will be great for trips. I only took it out for a little spin tonight, but extremely comfortable and love how it corners. Really surprised. This thing will be fun on the track too! Getting the top case and panniers in a few weeks.

I just sold my Harley Fatboy and placed a deposit on one of these! I'm a little depressed about the Fatboy. I put a lot of care into it and the motor, but really was ultimately not my style. But, very excited about the MTS! Of course, I struggled with what model to get. I originally wanted a better bike for 2-up and weekend trips, but couldn't get past the blingy Pikes Peak for tooling around on and commuting. I'm looking into bags, but will probably go with the Ducati ones.

I'm stuck on the exhaust though. Was thinking of the full Termi, but not sure about the big Ti can it comes with and whether the passenger pegs or panniers will get in the way. I like the slip-on size better and it comes in CF! The other I'm looking at is the Akra Evo system. Really nice looking and good power gains, but expensive, need a PC and dyno tune. Decisions, decisions...

I have the full Termi. It comes with new passenger mounts and panniers mount perfectly. Oh and in sport mode, the bike will pull wheelies all day :D

Nice, just what I need! A touring wheelie machine...

I ended up going with the full termi, I appreciate the info on the pegs/bags. Any problem with the extended exhaust melting the pannier?

Haven't had the opportunity to put them on for a long ride as I am using it mainly as a traffic commuter. Splitting lanes as needed with the baggage could be terminal.

I will line the side facing the pipe with heat shielding tape in several layers just in case.

I traded in my HD fatboy on the MTS and haven't looked back either. My wife loves how much smoother the MTS is, and that means more opportunity to ride for us both.

Bronchie, you got them mods fitted or what? Post up pics!

Ok, here are few crappy ones for now. I'll post some better ones when I get a chance. I spent the day on the pani and tomorrow it's her turn. Man it's nice to have a weekend off!
