Message Wilkson or do a search for Tank slider and you'll see his post and photos. He had one on when he crashed and he posted a picture as well. It prevented rupture on his tank.
Also, He had a R&G tank protector prior to using this one. When he crashed it didnt protect it, ruptured his tank and caught on fire...
1. Clean tank area with rubbing alcohol
2. Put sliders (dry, no adhesive) on tank and tape the outline on to the tank
3. Apply Aquarium Sealant to the sliders (Maybe 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick bead around the edges.. keep it about 1/8 of an inch off the edge of the slider) and place them inside the tape outline on the tank, carefully remove the outline tape
4. Tape them down to the tank vertically and horizontally for 24 hours. Do not use the bike during this period
5. 24 hours later remove the tape and enjoy
If the sliders seems to have a gap on any section use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the part up to help shape it a bit.. Any gap will be very minor anyways..
