New carbon fiber tank: to coat (epoxy liner) or not to coat?

My brother-in-law gave it to me as part of a project before he passed away from cancer in 2020. Carbon tanks are usually made from pre-preg which has a huge range of specifications, also it depends on how its built. Some epoxies can be affected by alcohol, so the answer is it depends! The cure might be worse than the potential problem, I am not a fan of coatings inside fuel tanks especially epoxy tanks as you cannot abrade it for a mechanical bond. I would just leave it.
